2. What You Can Do With AC Control
Once setup is complete, a whole new control panel opens up for you. Here’s what you can explore:

Your AC has personality, and Layla helps you tap into it:

3. Benefits of Using Layla AC Control
Why is this a game-changer? Here’s what you gain:
- One app, no remotes everywhere – control your AC right from your phone.
- Energy savings on autopilot – Eco Mode + AC Control make sure your AC switches off when the room is empty.
- Better comfort – fine-tune temperature, fan speed, and modes without searching for your physical remote.
- Universal control – works with most AC brands and models by learning your remote.
- Smarter home integration – your AC now plays nicely with Layla’s other features, like occupancy detection.
4. Eco Mode + AC Control = Smarter Living
This is where the magic happens.
With Eco Mode, Layla keeps an eye on the room. If no one’s around, it turns the AC off for you. Add in the manual remote setup, and Eco Mode becomes even sharper — ensuring your AC isn’t wasting power when nobody’s home.
It’s comfort + energy savings, working together.

5. A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Every AC is a little different. Here are some things to note:
- Some ACs don’t support all features (for example, Swing may not work while in Heat mode).
- If your AC doesn’t have a display, the Light On/Off toggle won’t show any effect.
- Certain modes like Dry or Fan Only may behave differently depending on the brand.
- In rare cases, you may need to re-teach your remote if signals don’t match perfectly.
In Short
Layla transforms your AC into a smart, energy-friendly, easy-to-control system. From setting the perfect temperature to turning off automatically when no one’s home, it’s designed to make life simpler, greener, and just more comfortable

No monthly fees. Ever.
AC is the biggest energy expense in any property.
It accounts for 16% of all U.S. household electricity use - and in hot states, 30-40% of vacation rental operating costs during summer. Monthly bills regularly hit $300-400+ in peak season.
Empty rooms are burning money.
Smart occupancy-based controls deliver 20-30% annual HVAC energy savings. Hotels using this approach save up to $20,000/year per property. If no one's in the room, the AC shouldn't be running.
Energy costs are rising faster than inflation.
U.S. residential electricity prices rose 4.3% in 2025 with another 4.1% projected for 2026 - more than double the rate of general inflation. What was marginal profit is now a loss for many rental hosts.
